1. We consider environmental stewardship to be one of management’s primary responsibilities and promote environmental activities in harmony with economic activities. We set environmental objectives and targets corresponding to the principal environmental aspects of our business activities, products and services, and periodically review such objectives and targets, revising them as necessary. We also make a concerted effort at all our sites to achieve continuous improvement of environmental management systems and environmental performance and to prevent pollution.
2. We set and apply voluntary control standards stricter than the mandatory standards in order to ensure compliance with laws and regulations concerning environmental protection and pollution control agreements.

   Our products are key devices used in various systems.
   In order to ensure efficient utilization of finite natural resources, we aim to reduce environmental impacts of not only our products throughout their life cycles but also of the systems incorporating them.
   Specifically, we strive to improve energy efficiency at the usage phase of products and systems and provide environmentally conscious products reflecting consideration of the 3Rs, for example, by reducing the use of rare metals in products and reducing the use of hazardous substances.
3. Provision of guidance and support to business partners
   We provide guidance and support to our business partners.
4. We strive to continuously improve environmental management through internal audits and reviews of activities.
5. We are committed to vigorous disclosure and in-depth communication with all our stakeholders, including customers, business partners, local communities, and employees in order to facilitate mutual understanding.
