Position Sensitive Detectors (PSD)

A position sensitive detector (PSD) is a one-dimensional position sensor that makes use of the nuclear reaction between neutrons and helium-3.
Its signal can be amplified by applying a high voltage to the center electrode, and neutron positions can be calculated by connecting an outer circuit.
Toshiba Electron Tubes & Devices offers an assortment of PSDs to meet the needs of your neutron scattering instruments.
Features
- Long life and high stability
Chemical cleaning and high-temperature exhausting under vacuum condition on the detector completely eliminates impurities.
Strict management of the filler gas. - Improved shock resistance
